One-liner

Fauhn is a personal music project exploring emotional processing, masking, and self-perception through intimate songwriting and restrained electronic textures.

Short bio

Fauhn is a personal music project built around introspection, emotional processing, and the quiet distortions of self-perception. The songs sit between electronic and guitar-led spaces, using restraint and texture rather than volume to carry their weight.

Much of the work is shaped by the experience of growing up undiagnosed with ADHD, particularly the tension between inner chaos and an outwardly calm, capable exterior. Fauhn’s writing focuses on masking, delayed self-understanding, and the slow work of untangling identity later in life.

The project values honesty over polish and treats vulnerability as something to be observed rather than performed. Fauhn is currently working towards a debut album, with new material continuing to explore memory, shame, humour, and self-acceptance in small, human detail.

Long bio

Fauhn is a personal music project centred on introspection, emotional processing, and the uneasy gap between how a person is seen and how they experience themselves. The music moves quietly between electronic and guitar-based elements, favouring atmosphere, texture, and negative space over obvious hooks or dramatic gestures.

At the core of the project is a long process of delayed self-understanding. Much of Fauhn’s writing is shaped by growing up undiagnosed with ADHD, and by the experience of appearing shy, capable, or high-achieving while internally struggling with confusion, shame, and constant self-correction. Rather than framing this as a story of triumph or collapse, Fauhn focuses on the smaller moments: misinterpretations, coping mechanisms, humour used as cover, and the slow realisation that many assumed personal flaws were never individual failings at all.

Lyrically, the songs often sit in a stream-of-consciousness space, allowing contradictions to exist without resolution. Themes of masking, distorted self-image, and emotional fatigue recur, alongside quieter moments of warmth, nostalgia, and dry self-awareness. References to memory, early technology, and childhood interior worlds appear not as nostalgia, but as symbols of how internal systems form and persist.

The project is intentionally low-key and self-contained. Fauhn values clarity and honesty over performance, and treats vulnerability as a texture to sit alongside sound rather than something to be spotlighted. There is no fixed persona and no attempt to resolve discomfort into easy answers. The work remains open-ended, reflective, and human.

Fauhn is currently writing and recording material for a debut album, with releases planned to build gradually rather than follow a rigid schedule. The focus remains on coherence, emotional accuracy, and making work that feels truthful to lived experience, even when that experience is uncertain or unresolved.
